Education and Prevention
In our practice, each and every team member is a true believer in preventative dental care and ongoing education. These are the keys to optimal dental health for our patients and success in our practice. We endeavor to provide dental health care services, as opposed to mere disease care. As professionals in the dental care industry, we know that routine cleanings, regular flossing, sealants, and fluoride treatments are beneficial in maintaining good oral health and in preventing dental disease.
We also rely on thorough examinations to establish the overall health of your teeth and gums. We perform oral cancer screenings at every recall appointment and take x-rays when necessary. As part of any comprehensive examination, a review of your medical history may also help us interpret your overall health, so please be prepared to discuss any medications you may be taking and any recent illnesses that may have impacted your dental health.

Dr.’s Movaghari and Urteaga and our staff regularly attend lectures, meetings, and dental conventions. We aim to stay informed of new products, treatments, and techniques. We ask our providers to brief us on the latest developments in equipment, so that our office can provide state-of-the-art dental care.
In addition, our practice is a member of the American Dental Association, the Northern Virginia Dental Society, and the Virginia Dental Association. These key memberships also help us stay abreast of the changes in our profession.
Our Team
Dr. Parinaz Movaghari, DDS
Dentist/Owner
Dr. Parinaz Movaghari DDS attended George Mason University where she received her Bachelors of Science with a minor in microbiology. While at Mason she obtained a 4.0 all four years
placing her on the dean’s list along with being awarded a full scholarship, grants, and the Presidential award for academics.
Following undergrad Dr. Movaghari attended VCU school of Dentistry. During her time at VCU she became a teacher’s assistant in prosthodontics receiving multiple awards in the field all while being a diligent student graduating Suma Cum Laude at age 25. Dr. Movaghari then went on to complete her AEGD residency in 2007 with a thesis in teeth whitening. During the same year, she became a part time restorative dentistry faculty and worked with undergrad students in the clinic and mentored them in becoming skillful future dentists. She had special trainings in Invisalign, surgical implants, root canals, surgical extractions, and cosmetic dentistry including porcelain veneers.
Dr. Movaghari's journey in dentistry started as a dental assistant and an administrative at age 16. She is very knowledgeable and capable in all aspects of dentistry. Her passion in dentistry started after a soccer injury to her front teeth in high school and realizing the importance of great dental care. She opened Dental Devotion with her husband Dr. Jair Urteaga in 2015 with a goal to care for every patient like family and meet their every expectation while providing compassionate and excellent care.
When she’s not in office, Dr. Movaghari loves spending time with her family, spoiling her daughter and nephews, traveling when possible, learning new recipes, dancing, singing, painting, and learning new languages. She is fluent in Farsi and Spanish. Volunteer work is very important to Dr. Movaghari and she has volunteered with Northern Virginia Dental Society, Give Kids a Smile Day, and MOM (Mission of Mercy) dental projects.
